ELIGIBILITY

  1. Must have served on a vessel at sea, whose primary mission was the launch and recovery of military aircraft, on the Flight Deck, during flight operations. These vessels include CVA, CV, CVN, LHA, LHD etc. designations.

  2. Must have served on a military vessel at sea, and participated in the launch and recovery, during flight operations, on a vessel whose primary mission is not the launch and recovery of aircraft, but does have aircraft operations. These vessels include CG, CGN, DDG, FFG, etc.

  3. Membership is also open to members of other U.S. military branches who were temporarily assigned to U.S. Navy vessels at sea, that participated in direct support of flight operations. (Documentation may be required.) 

  4. Membership is also available to members of foreign navies with vessels capable of launch and recovery of military aircraft, and participated in those operations, even if nation no longer has those vessels, such as Australia.

  5. Honorable discharge (to include General under Honorable) or currently serving.

  6. Only Air Dept., Squadron, and Flight Deck Corpsman are accepted from carriers and LHA, LHD, etc vessels. Any others would be on a case by case basis that will be determined by FDVG Board of Advisors.

  7. Members agree to provide Board of Advisors proof of flight deck experience if requested. If proof is not provided in a timely manner, Board reserves the right to revoke membership. 

  8. Members will agree to pay an initial membership fee, and yearly dues. Dues will be required by last day of the calendar year. All money collected will be used to support FDVG operating costs.
